Sadly, that thread title could be about the depressing, terrifying news we seem to get every fucking day. But no, this is.. stranger. So, Seinfeld. One of the greatest comedies of all time etc etc, we all know this. And we all know it's set in New York, and is a show about the mundane things in life that somehow become A Big Deal in the minds and lives of these neurotic, self-obsessed but ultimately likeable people. Seriously, if I knew Elaine in real life I would be completely in love with her. Anyway, the show ended, and then a few years later something pretty memorable happened. 9/11 happened. So someone, somewhere, came up with the idea of what would Seinfeld be like if the show was still around? They'd obviously have to acknowledge it.. but how? And then they wrote an actual script, and it is uncannily like an episode of the show, right down to the petty insecurities and mannerisms we all know and expect from the show.
