Little backstory first; a new wrestler debuted on WWE's "developmental" (read: white-hot word of mouth TV fan favourite TV show) NXT brand. Think about this; this new guy, Bobby Roode, made ONE appearance on NXT for his first interview, and his theme song became SUCH an online "holy shit, you NEED to hear this" phenomenon that two weeks later when he made his in-ring debut over 15,000 people were singing along to it at the top of their lungs. Crazy.
Anyway, this is the theme song, an over-the-top, Queen style pomp rock banger. It's roughly about forty seconds of music repeated (it is just for walking down the ramp to, after all), but just take a listen.

That, friends, is the sound of joy.
Anyway, think who makes a noise like that. Do you see a band, maybe some group of long haired guys in tight black leather? Some retro throwback Queen fans?
They actually look like this.
Two guys, basically, CFO$, who are responsible for all of WWE's theme music and incidental scores. They took over from Jimmy Jonstone, who made all the classic theme songs from the 80's and 90's.
So here's the point of this thread. Look how EASY it is to create music now. Not just programmed dance songs or pop beats, but what actually sounds like a band.

I mean... shit. Talk about Toto pulling the curtain away to reveal the Wizard. Listen to those fucking vocals. Four jack-offs singing like they're in a bar becomes a, ahem, glorious rousing roar. Basically the entire thing is chopped up, processed and created like a lab rat.
I know it's just theme songs, it's not "real" music but it really served as an eye-opener of just how easy it is to create fairly authentic sounding music on a laptop. How many other bands out there are doing this?
