I haven't seen National Treasure yet, but Netflix just dropped the third season of Black Mirrorand all I can say is: fuuuuuuck. If San Junipero doesn't win an Emmy for best episode, then there's no reason for that award to exist. Okay, we already knew that there's no point to industry awards, but it's not often that you see an episode of television that puts even quality feature films to shame. And the two episodes that follow it are amazing as well, with the season finale clocking in at feature film length featuring the most epic social media massacre of all time. Literally. What started largely as a dark near-future science fiction satire has grown into perhaps the best show on television. It was already pretty close, but at three episodes a season, it's hard to give it that award. The range of emotions shown over the six episodes along with the utilization of technologies that already exist and/or will likely be seen in our lifetime make for a terrifying and brilliant binge. And hell, there's even a happy ending in the mix this time! Never thought I'd see that. If you don't watch this show, you just kind of suck. Sorry.
Also, Westworld has delivered one of the greatest series premieres ever and already far outstrips anything the classic movie gave us and The Exorcist is much better than I was expecting as well. A whole new take that divorces itself from and expands upon the source material almost as effectively as Westworld does. Can they possibly cram any more amazing television into our lives?

Fuck fuck fuck. I REALLY need to get into Black Mirror. I had both series on my Sky box for about a year and only watched the first episode and then because of space/time I deleted the others. Argh, I really need to hunt this show down, you're not the first person I've heard going on about this new series.

It's really one of the best shows of the decade -of not ever- hands down. If it didn't have so few episodes, it would even eclipse the likes of Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad, assuming they could maintain the quality. It's currently on Netflix and you have missed out on something truly fantastic. I can't wait for Gamemoir to get back up and running so I can discuss the way the latest season integrated modern video game tech.
