So, Trump. I don't really need to go too much into that, the name already sums up 2017. To his credit, everything he said he wanted to do (wall, ban scary foreigners) he's doing, so he's at least living up to his word, if nothing else. I don't agree with any of it, but you can imagine the people who voted him in are fucking delighted right now. But the protests are everywhere, even in the UK (what the fuck have we got to do with any of it?) And hey, protesting against sexism, racism and bigotry is to be commended. But who thought this shit up? metro.co.uk/2017/01/29/calls-for-boycott-of-us-goods-after-donald-trump-imposes-travel-ban-6413675/Wow, genius. Way to stick it to an American President by not shopping in American chains.. run and operated by British people. So suddenly not buying a Big Mac is going to sock it to Donald Trump? How, exactly? And most of these companies have actually spoken out AGAINST Trump's policies. Apple were mentioned alongside huge evil American companies to boycott, and they've went out of their way to speak out against him. Just... nnnnngh. This is why the bad guy won.

Protesters are one of my least favorite demographics of people precisely because of shit like this. There's been tons of great highlights so far from the different marches and protests though. On a darker note, some angry college students fucked up their campus last night and threw bricks at cops because you Brits' boy Milo Yiannopoulos showed up to speak.

Little do you guys know, America has been boycotting American products since the Clinton administration. All of our shit is made in China and then shipped back to us from there. Then the companies invest the profits back in China. I'll give Trump props for reinstituting tariffs. It's the only real step anyone has made in twenty years to give us our economy back.
The travel ban baffles me. It accomplishes nothing whatsoever beyond punishing the innocent for the mostly imaginary potential sins of the not yet guilty. As if an international terrorist won't break the law to get here if this is where he wants to be. It's got all of the logic of banning guns to prevent shootings, but with racism added to make it extra spicy. Also, people get shot way fucking more often than terrorists blow shit up, so I would ask that conservatives get their fucking opinions straight before they cheer this. The funny thing is when that Canadian dude shot up a mosque the media couldn't use the term "lone wolf" enough. Okay, so when the terrorist is white, it's a freak occurrence, but when they're brown, we need to carpet bomb entire countries -particularly ones that had no involvement whatsoever- for over a decade because they have a similar religion?
Give the millennials some credit, Ben; they have a great sense of humor and creativity. Sadly, it's only outweighed by their insane sense of entitlement.

Well, there's something; I knew about Milo Yiannopoulos, I knew about the protests and violence at the campus, but I didn't know he was British. We breed right-wing pricks better than most, it would seem.
Good point about the "lone wolf" guy who shot up the mosque; and it's something you see a lot on the comment section of news sites. There was a paedophile ring that originated in Bradford in England, and the perpetrators were mostly Muslim (some where white, but that wasn't mentioned) and far right groups were fucking falling over themselves to shout about the MUSLIM GROOMING GANGS in the UK. But when similar vermin are unearthed and they're white? They're oddly quiet.
The travel ban is pointless and no good can come of it. It'll only stigmatise and vilify innocent people as well as justify racist assholes behaviour, and what does 90 days do? Is Trump going to "solve" radical Islam in 90 days?
