The Superbowl. A spectacle the likes of something British people will never understand, from a sport we will never follow, yet it remains news over here. Not for the guys throwing a ball around (what's that all about?) but for the half-time show and everything that happens before, during and after the sport stuff.

So Lady Gaga was apparently great, going by every article I've seen so far (not seen the footage myself yet), but one of the big talking points was a commercial for Budweiser that got all Real American's everywhere furious. Take a look.

Currently at 14 and a half thousand "dislike" votes, and calls for a "boycott" of Budweiser for it's obvious political message, and that American's should "respect the President" and "protect America."

For what it's worth, Budweiser probably can't believe their luck that their ad is getting SO much publicity (that it even made it over to our news), and they'll probably take the hit of a few hundred fucktards not drinking Bud for a few weeks before they forget.

Jesus tapdancing Christ. That ad embodies the exact fucking ideal of the fabled "American Dream" the sad truth being that politics and the businessmen who have paid to swing them their way have made it exactly that: a dream and nothing more. Ten or more years ago, this would have been a big hit with the same crowd and embodied exactly what made this country great in the first place. I'm about 99% sure that the idiots screaming about respecting the president are the exact same ones who have done the exact opposite in the last eight years. And are they of the opinion that the protagonist there is Muslim? How is it even relevant to Trump? He didn't ban Germans. Fuck, people are stupid.

I've been boycotting Budweiser for a while now because their beer is shit. Not sure why it took a commercial for the rest of America to figure that out.
