A time will come where I make a weekly series and actually manage to keep within the weekly time limit.. but I guess now is not the time.

Anyway, week two, and it was Trashy's mention of Drew Barrymore in Santa Clarita Diet that made me think of this one, and it was a movie that, well, got a LOT of plays in my youth. It's obviously Poison Ivy.

I've not actually seen it for a few years, so I don't know how badly it's aged, but this was perfect horny teen melodrama back in the day. Barrymore as the unbelievably sexy but still plausible Ivy, slowly manipulating her way into her friend's family, and could anyone blame the poor dad for becoming obsessed by her?

So yeah. Poison Ivy. Let's talk.

Yeah, it has been a long time. I saw this one in college, shortly after moving out of my mom's house. It was the first time in my life I could watch whatever the fuck I wanted so naturally, the top of my list was anything where I could see Drew Barrymore naked. Sadly, being a movie I only watched once -as it was right when I started devouring movies as fast as I could and becoming a true horror junkie- I don't remember much about it beyond the titillation of seeing my childhood crush all grown up and sexy as hell.
