If you're confused because we were half way through a, ahem, "season" of this, I just fell away from it completely what with weddings and trips away and real life shit. You know how it is, so this is continuing where we left off, but like a soft reboot of six episodes. Anyway, enough catching up. While we're talking about Glow, I think it's perfect timing to show Britannica's actual day job when she's not taking up acting. To jog your memory, Britannica was the hot British one who's gimmick was she was super smart. Her actual name is Kate Nash, and she's been knocking out piano-led pop songs for almost 10 years now. She's had a few albums out now, but her biggest success came with her debut album which I'm going to play a song from today. She's a bit of a breath of fresh air when it comes to pop music; there's no songs about being in a club or drinking Cristal or any of that shit. She goes for more reflective lyrics, sometimes pure whimsy (there's a song on her debut record about a skeleton who's her imaginary friend). Anyway, here's "Foundations." I had to choose a German version with subtitles because every other version I could find was edited and cut. Good old Germans. www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYzQFQo6UgM

Video not available. Damn Germans. Let's go with this, then.
Great music. Not sure about the lyrics and delivery. It's definitely cute, but it seems like something that may need to grow on me.
