Daredevil - Wooh! Jessica Jones - Wooh! Luke Cage - Wooh! Iron Fist - Wo....oh, just fucking END.
That was pretty much my opinion of the four series in Netflix's Marvel canon. I found Iron Fist to be an enormous chore to get through. Some nice touches and nods to other things (the "Drunken Master" from the Jackie Chan movie was nice, although I actually recognised it more from Virtua Fighter 2), but Danny Rand was SOOO fucking boring. And his girlfriend.
But anyway, that was leading up to the eventual team up of the four players, and I enjoyed it, as curiously short as it was. Seriously, this team-up that's been building up for years only got eight episodes? OK. Jessica Jones is seriously great, as well, and I loved how they all played off each other. Lots of fun, and Punisher is up next.
Were you on board for the Defenders?

It was a'ight. Seems like I was the only one who thought Iron Fist was worthwhile, although I found his role in The Defenders to be more as an irritant than a team member. I fucking love Colleen Wing, though. Defenders needed a real deal Marvel villain instead of just a team of all the most forgettable ones from the other shows. Only Madame Gao really made an impression. Bring in like the Wrecking Crew, Bullseye, Taskmaster, some low tier Spidey villains who won't make it into the movies like Vermin or the Chameleon; enough with the Hand already. The only really memorable villains so far have been Kingpin and the Purple Man and, Luke Cage's insane awesomeness aside, it's hard to make a great superhero show without great villains.

Yes, totally agree. I think, hopefully anyway, this short season (shorter than any of the series that came before it) might have just been getting them together so the villain didn't really matter. If there's to be Defender's S2, there needs to be some actual villains worth a damn. Wasn't the Wrecking Crew in the Spider-Man movie, though? Weren't those guys the Vulture's goons?

Nope. I thought they might be AIM, but apparently I'm remembering wrong. They weren't the Wrecking Crew either, though. I guess just henchmen.
