In the UK, there is a plague among us. A vile, cancerous beast that seems to grip the minds of every unwashed moron in the country.

It's Big Brother 8, ladies and gentlemen.

Now, fear not, I'm not going to go into a lengthy discussion about this, I just thought I'd show what is basically the mentality and attitudes of Big Brother contestants.

"I have no talent, but I want to be famous anyway."

The Big Brother generation - who needs to be GOOD at something anymore? Either sleep with a pop star and sell your story, or appear on the bottom-feeding scum-bucket that is reality TV.

And here's the PERFECT example: Shabnam from Big Brother 8. This is an unseen clip from ANOTHER reality show she auditioned for before Big Brother, called (oh, the irony), "Britains Got Talent."

Now, you may fear that AFTER Big Brother she would probably get that presenting job, if she'd handled herself with even the slightest bit of class and dignity. Hmmmm... here she is on her eviction night..

There really is nothing to add to that. I think its just a perfect example of the type of person who a) watches this stuff and b) appears on it.

Holy crap!

Watching that eviction video (the link posted here, not the TV show!), I was just hoping there was someone with a sniper's rifle.. Watching THAT would never get old.

I can only hope that the rumours are true and that this series of BB has the lowest ratings so far.. Maybe then C4 will get the idea and just let it die..

I actually think the world would be a better place if someone set fire to Endemol HQ during office hours. Then we'd be rid of about 90% of these wretched, skull-numbing pieces of drek.

You know, that's the one decent thing about the other TV show "that's gripping the nation", Britains Got Talent. Simon Cowell said he hates Big Brother and can't stand the idea that people get famous for being talentless. Quite why he can stand people getting famous by singing dull and formulaic cover versions is ano.. oh wait, because he gets paid for that.

Still, his quest to "wipe Big Brother off the face of the earth" gets a hearty applause from me.
