Technical question..

OK, so in an effort to drum up new business, I've been trying to find out what happens when I type in key words ("The Curmudgeon and Fortress of Solitude") to be exact, but the most search results are for the OLD site.

Is there a way round this? And how do I go about getting more search results for the new site?

Your best bet is to submit the site to search engines...

While Google (et al) use "robots" or "spiders" to sniff out sites, it's far better to actually get your site submitted to their search database.

Use Google to search for "submit site to search engine" and that should get you some good hits...

When submitting a search, try to include as many key words as you can.. Like Curmudgeon, Fortess, Solitude, Amazon, review, reviews, hatemonger, hate, monger, cult, opinion, discussion, videos, dvds, retro (etc etc)..

There are also certain sites where you can submit your site to multiple search engines at the one time.

One thing to bear in mind - this should not cost you money! If you see anyone asking for cash, get clicking that Back button!

I can probably give you a hand, if you let me know the search phrases you'd like..

See, the problem with that is - this is a site that's not really ABOUT anything. Normally you have discussion boards ABOUT something.. this is basically just a "talk about anything" board.

So I dunno. You know more about this than me, Hacker. After the words "Curmudgeon" and "Forrtress of Solitude" what do YOU think would get the best results (except for "NUDE BRITNEY XXX LOLITA SEXXXX" obviously).

Erm, I think those search words might be quite productive.. Not that i'd ever look at such sites
