I don't know if anyone's a fan of NIN or not (I'm not a huge fan) but I figured a FREE album download is enough to win some people over. www.nin.com/That's the link to get the whole album free. Yet another big name doing the free album thing. Hmmm. Good or bad for the business? You decide. And do let me know what you think, anyone who downloads it. I'm doing so right now.

You know, I can actually see where he's coming from.
Radiohead released the tracks on a poorer quality audio, knowing full well the type of hardcore fans they had, who would want the best sound quality available. Sure, they would lose a chunk of sales, but nothing to make them panic. And there was no artwork or lyric book or whatever to download either, unlike NIN.
They then stopped the free download when the official album was released, on standard CD or as part of a £50 boxset.
So I wouldn't say "insincere" as such, but I would say they're exploring new ways to sell music. Nothing wrong with that either.
Oh, and you should give the NIN album a try, Trashy. The second track is awesome.

I'm not saying he's dead wrong, I just thought it was uncalled for. I may check it out, but my iPod runs low on space. Trent has put together some outstanding tracks, but he also repeats himself often and is very inconsistent.
