You American's are SO lucky sometimes. We get witless, boring female chatshow hosts and banal television "personalities" - you get someone like Joan Rivers.
She's never been a huge deal over here (I don't think her shows have ever been put on over here.. and if they have its on some never-watched channel) but she has gained a bit of a following over here due to her appearances on some more edgy shows.
Which "Loose Women" is NOT one of.
To explain, Loose Women is a daily lunch-time show which talks about TV, celebrities and the assorted news of the day. It is never a headline grabbing show. Until Joan Rivers.
She appeared for the first half of the show but was then REMOVED during the commercial break. And why..?

To quote a newspaper columnist "the first interesting guest they've EVER had and they ban her."
