Yeah, and have you SEEN the boxset you guys get for Spaced? It has all the same (i.e - tons) of extras that the UK version gets, but you also get guest commentaries from the likes of Tarantino and Kevin Smith.
Have you bought it yet?

Well, Batman has now taken over Spider-Man in the overall box office takings. Spidey was at $403 million for its overall run in 2002, and Bats has taken over with $405 million in 19 days (!).
How uninspired, average fare like Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest can still be in front is beyond depressing, though.

"Spaced" just played on BBC so I saved myself some bucks for now, but I plan on buying it. Great show. I hadn't heard of the commentaries. Sounds awesome. I actually thought that I read BOP was a British show, but now I read it was on the WB or something here. Whatever. I've got to see that; I love the comic. Why doesn't anybody TELL ME about these things?

Well, it's official people; The Dark Knight has now taken more money than STAR WARS and is the second highest grossing film of ALL TIME.
Sit and think on that for a minute.

Don't forget that ticket prices in America have been ever-inflating over the years, while the value of the American dollar just continues to dwindle. Check THIS out to see how box office figures would look if you adjust the grosses of past movies according to the average 2008 ticket price. Or, for a more clear-cut example, just click HERE to look at the movies in order of which ones have sold the most tickets of all time in North American theaters. That's not to downplay The Dark Knight's success at all though, because even when adjusting for ticket price inflation and tallying up the total amount of tickets sold, it's currently the 39th most-attended movie in North American theatrical history. Think about that. Since the dawn of cinema and the beginning of movies being shown in theaters roughly a century ago, out of every film made and released to theaters in the approximate century since that time, only 38 movies have sold more tickets than The Dark Knight. And it's only been in release for five weeks. It's not done yet.

"And then he strikes..... like Thunderbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall!" I was suprised to see Bond make the list. What is it about "E.T" that I just don't get? "Blazing Saddles"? AWESOME! Great find.

Thought some of you might like to see the "Abridged Script" for The Dark Knight. I've posted the link to the rest of Rod Hilton's work before, but thought this one was especially worth a look. Hilton's speciality seems to be finding logic in movies and plot holes that you would otherwise never think about. A sort of slow, dawning "oh.. yeaaah..." feeling. Still funny too, though. www.the-editing-room.com/thedarkknight.html

Now that is a talented motherfucker. Laughed my ass off. I actually noticed most of those plot holes, but it's a fucking MOVIE! Entertainment before practicality, I say. I'm surprised he didn't note "Bat-Bale" blowing up dozens of fucking cars in his "unstable-looking Bale-Pod" when cities have actual STREETS that work quite nicely when one is trying to get from one place to another. Jesus, I'm smoother than that when I'm playing Grand Theft Auto!

Ha, yeah, good point. What's nice is that he rates the movies he's talking about, so Dark Knight got almost full marks (so he likes it, really). Check out his script for Superman Returns.. www.the-editing-room.com/supermanreturns.htmlQuite possibly my favourite script, not least because I said most of it after watching the film. It was like my own angry conscience on paper. Best "direction" is saved for the "Wroooooonnnnnnng" part though.
