Tarantino brand remakes: yay or nay?

So as any fan of QT knows, he's currently working on a remake of cult classic WWII film "The Inglorious Bastards". In spite of my remake-phobia I believe this is good because a) not a lot of people have seen the original and this will raise awareness, and b) I think Tarantino can and will take this story and make it the most kickass war film since "Full Metal Jacket". So then, before he's so much as cast this one (Mike Myers , Eli Roth, and Brad Pitt are all in so far and Simon Pegg was rumored, but dropped out ) Tarantino announces that he wants to remake another underappreciated -if higher profile- classic, "Faster Pussycat Kill! Kill!". But that's not the kicker. The kicker is who he wants to costar in it along with Kim KardASSian and Eva Mendes.

Drum roll please.....

Tarantino remaking IG - yay. Having never seen it (or, whisper it, heard of it), I could happily watch this. In fact, its such an obscure choice of film, props to him for wanting to do it. Its not like its a guaranteed money spinner or an instantly recongnised name - so yeah, love to see it.

Not sure about Faster Pussycat, to be honest. I just don't think we're in an era where wonderful junk like that can pass. I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see it working.

That being said, anything with Britney in=WIN. And with Britney, as (is?) a sex mad nutcase spouting dialogue written by QT? That's the future of cinema right there.

So go on then - yay on both counts. Tarantino isn't going to let us down, is he..?
