they aren't as good as you remember; in this era of crummy remakes and tired franchises they are better than ever!
Sigh - more proof, if proof were needed, that we really are the Saviours of the Internet.
I toyed with the idea of buying this boxset a couple of years ago, but in the end I got the Universal collection which has the Dracula, Frankenstein, (and Bride of), Wolfman, Invisible Man, Phantom of the Oprah and Creature from the Black Lagoon all in a big.. castle shaped box.. thing.
I got it from some foreign site and was gutted to find it didn't have the sequels that you talk about in your video - just the original movies themselves. I haven't seen (or at least, don't remember seeing) any sequels to these films and that was a major pain in the ass that they didn't come with the set.
Saying that, the set did have all the features that the other boxset has, so that numbed the blow a little. Seeing the likes of Rick Baker talking about Frankenstein was more than cool.
Great review, Trashy - and great choice.
EDIT - One thing I noticed Trashy - how did you get "Vine Voice" under your name? And what the hell does it mean?

Glad you enjoyed. You've really got to see those sequels, one way or another. The Amazon Vine program is this thing where they pick certain reviewers to review products before they are released. Every month I get an email with a list of products and I can pick up to two to get sent to me for free. In return, I review the products there. It's pretty cool, but the selection of goods is shitty. It's usually a whole ton of boring-sounding cookie-cutter novels and 1-2 DVD's or uninteresting CD's which are all taken by the time I even check my email. I've read a couple of decent books and a Prince of Persia graphic novel so far, but all the stuff I really want is usually out of stock by the time I get home from work.
