Well, the official concept art for War Machine has been revealed for Iron Man 2, and while it isn't exactly a surprise what he looks like, he still looks very cool indeed..

Still a shame the guy playing James Rhodes in the first movie has been dropped. That's a kick in the old continuity stakes already.

I don't know. Seems to me they're going for more of a sidekick vibe. I'm not really familiar with the old comics so I'm not really aware if they've come into conflict in the past or not, but it seems to me that Rhodes and Stark have always been best buds, more or less.
