This may be preaching to the converted, but one of the best things about this site is spreading the good word about little known shows, movies or albums that may have slipped up by. Flight of the Conchords, ladies and gentlemen (who am I kidding? Gentlemen), is one such TV show. It barely got shown over here in the UK, and I don't know what kind of impact it's had in the US, but it really does deserve more recognition. It's a sitcom about three guys from New Zealand - two musicians and their hopeless manager, trying to make it in America. It's warm, brilliantly written, endlessly funny and it's got some brilliant musical interludes throughout the series. Here's a couple of my favourites.. Frodo, Don't Wear the Ring.(Easily more entertaining than the entire LOTR trilogy)uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SWf3iJjqYCM&feature=relatedHiphopopotamus vs Rhymenocerousuk.youtube.com/watch?v=FArZxLj6DLk&feature=relatedIf you've not seen Flight of the Conchords, keep an eye out for it, probably buried away on some TV schedule somewhere at 2am - it really is something very special. And if you HAVE seen it.. well, you'll already know that.

You're 2-0 on your latest recs, man. I saw the first disc yesterday and I'm literally still laughing because this is stuck in my head:
Thanks again.

Jermaine's first line gets me laughing every time, not only because it's so unexpected, but because of his big dorky expression.
Good news, by the way - they're making a second series. Oh, and Murray is THE MAN. "King of the dicks!"
