You see THAT man? Well guess what - The Curmudgeon is going to see him live in London - the first time I've seen him in twelve years. I'm actually surprised how big a deal these London gigs are. The ticket prices (£31.21 - named after the 3121 album, see?) have now gone on to, at my last check, over £260 on ebay), and it sure is nice to see some genuine excitement over Prince again. Well, The Curmudgeon is certainly excited. I cannot WAIT. I've been to hordes of gigs over the years, but that Prince gig still holds a certain magical touch over me, and the fact I'm going to see him again is just the best feeling. Every day until then is a chore. Bring it on!

The Curmudgeon, Ironically I was gonna tell you about this yesterday. Glad you noticed it yourself. Oh, and if you get a chance to meet the guy get me his autograph. Or his motorcycle from PURPLE RAIN. Whichever is nearest... Best Regards, InvisibleWolfMan

Yeah when I get to meet him I'll do that.
And then when I walk on the sun I'll grab you a piece.

Good for you! I heard he's playing like, 12 shows or so there in London. I'd say that qualifies as genuine excitement, wouldn't you? Man, if I could go to a concert every night I would, but it's been damn near a year and the last one was a sub-par Aerosmith show where they mostly played covers and butchered "Livin' on the Edge". Disappointing to say the least. Back to Prince; I was a bit bummed that I missed all but the last song of his Super Bowl performance (not a big football guy), but I caught "Purple Rain" and it was sweeeeet. Have fun.

I saw him live once - rather good it was too..
The only downside was that his then other half - the rather delicious Mayte - apparently whipped her puppies out... Cor!
I say "downside" because I happened to be looking at my feet at that precise moment because someone had stood on my toes.. As Mr Bauer would say: "DAMMIT!"
Toodles!

Ahh, that would be THIS Mayte.. Just 16 when she met Prince, you know, as was well documented on the "symbol" album with such lyrics as "don't look now there's a river of blood, you must have been a virgin, what am I guilty of?"Best Prince quote? "Mayte, what would I do without you? Masturbate."
