Having just watched the Bruce Campbell future classic, My name is Bruce. It got me thinking, if Satan or an Alien Queen or some other Teenage slasher upper attacked. Would any star been up to the task without the script to keep them safe?
Answer & reason why please...

To get us rolling I somewhat predictably chose everyone's favourite and indeed the greatest actor to ever live, the previously mentioned, Mr Bruce Campbell. He's thwarted many an evil threat, Deadites 3 times, crazed policemen from beyond the grave, aliens, a Mummy and a Chinese Tofu GOD.
Is there anything he can't defeat? I hear he's up against Godzilla & King Kong in a one on two handicap match for his next role. Those CGI Motherfuckers don't stand a chance.

Well, first of all; welcome to the site, Silver Bullet. Ah yes - horror movie/Stephen King inspired name? Comic book avatar? Love of Bruce Campbell? You're going to fit in just nicely here.
I'm going to be controversial and opt for Kurt Russel, though. He's got the looks, he's got the swagger, he was, like, the most powerful man in the world or something in Sky High (our Bruce was just a gym teacher) and, well, it's all in his reflexes.

Bruce Willis is the baddest motherfucker alive, as evinced by any of on-screen roles, most notably his autobiography Die Hard.

You forgot to mention name-checking Godzilla AND King Kong in his first topic, Curmudgeon. I already love this guy. How did you see MNIB? I've been waiting on that shit since the dawn of man, it seems. The DVD isn't out until next month.
I voted on Bruce Campbell. You don't require an explanation. You simply know why.

Thanks for the warm welcome, true believers!
I'm not a fan of piracy. Copied video games, cds & downloaded movies etc. But on a few rare occasions I'll make an exception & i'll tell you why. In the case of My Name Is Bruce, it had felt like an age since i first heard about this movie. I knew that it had released in short supply to small cinemas in the USA. I'm sure this was about 2 years ago, give or take. Now & again it would pop back into my brain to check & see when it was being released on dvd. Last weekend i searched for it on Iso Hunt & downloaded a preview copy. Its one of those studio advance copy thingies, with "This is the property of Dark Horse" appearing on the screen every once in a while. Don't tell the FBI.
I will still buy the official dvd though. Therefor justifying my impatient illegal download, in my mind at least...

In my world, piracy is A-ok if it's something they won't let you pay for in the first place. Mmmmmm.... forbidden awesoooome. [gurgles]
