Yes I know I've used a quote from one of the worst ever periods of Friends, but you know what? I don't care. The Curmudgeon is going to see PRINCE tomorrow night in London, in what is easily my most eagerly anticipated gig EVER.
It's going to be a bit of a pain in the ass getting down there (I don't like flying at the best of times, never mind all the fuss for a 40 minute flight) but I'm sure it's going to be worth it.
I'll let you know all about it when I get back...

Man, why don't we get Dave Chappelle in the UK? That was hilarious. Funnily enough, Prince DID play basketball when he was at school. Being 5"4 didn't exactly help him out though.
Anyway, if you're wondering how the concert went..
Well........
FUCKIN' A.
Seriously, what a show. What an AWESOME show. From the moment Prince stepped through a trapdoor in the floor onto a giant flashing symbol stage to his acoustic encore of Little Red Corvette and Rasberry Beret, he was absolutley smoking hot - an incomprable showman, he twirled and played guitar, flirted with the audience ("y'all don't know about love.. do you love me? Well.. I love you too..") and had the entire crowd eating out of his hand for the entire time he played. Songs like Kiss (the first time I've heard him play it as it sounds on record, he usually jazzes it up), Purple Rain and Let's Go Crazy were met with an ecstatic ovation, but new songs like Guitar and Lolita went down a storm too. I, unashamedly, screamed like a bitch for two hours.
Best live act I've ever seen? No doubt. Best live act in the world today? Ditto.
