You know, I thought I was pretty clued up on the whole Romero zombie saga; we've got Night, Dawn, Day, 90s remake of Night, 00's remake of Dawn, Land, Diary and 00's remake of Day. Have I missed any out?
Apparantly so - gotta say, I've never heard of ANOTHER remake of Night, this time in 3D.
From past experience with other shoddy horror films in 3D, they never work, and you're left with the deeply unfrightening scene of some idiot stabbing at the camera. And this doesn't look much different.
Anyone actually seen this?

When there is no room left in Hell, the remakes shall walk the Earth. I've seen it. It's crap. I actually thought it was the 90's version which I have not yet seen when I rented it. I've seen much worse, but any film with Sid Haig in it that still sucks is an epic fail.

What did you think of the 90s remake, Trashy? I wasn't expecting much, but I actually really enjoyed it, and any movie with Tony Todd = win for me.

I've heard it was good, but I've never seen it available anywhere for rent and I will not buy a remake sight unseen.

Trashy, in short: BUY. THIS. VERSION! You won't regret it. There is only 1 major fault (in my opinion) and that is a line or two of dialog at the end. Everything else is TOP NOTCH...

Indeed. Can't remember the dialogue at the end, but I did see it years ago. If memory serves, the DVD's got some pretty good extra's too.

The sucky dialog basically referred to the mental state of the living and just seems like a "HEY! THIS IS THE POINT WE'RE MAKING IN CASE YOU CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT FOR YOURSELVES, COUCH POTATOES!" moment that is clear and precise on it's own. The extras are great and one cannot go wrong to buy this one blind. Really, Savini puts a nice spin on events and the FX are still awesome. Hell, they are up there with any other DEAD film he worked on....

Thanks. I'm immune to peer pressure, but I always take a learned opinion into account.
