50 Cent is a media whore.
This, and his "war" with The Game, all suspiciously coincide with record release dates. 50 Cent IS a dick, though, so I do believe he means what he says, and he will retire (for a month) if his album doesn't sell as well.
Frankly, I wouldn't mind if both albums stiffed. But to suit the mood of the thread - Goooooo Kanye!

Fiddy doesn't "write music", he shouts rhymes that often don't actually rhyme with a speech impediment (which seems to be mandatory for hip-hop success these days) over lame synth riffs and weak beats. Kanye may be full of himself, but at least the man is credible as an artist. Run DMC pwned 50 Cent many, many years in advance of his career when they wrote "Sucker MC's".

Singers (paricularly rappers, I've noticed) NEVER retire, yet they all say the same shit. Hmmm, rappers saying the same things over and over.. now there's a coincidence.
Jay-Z "retired" for about a year. His first single as he came back even laughed off the retirement with "what can I say? I'm back".
Eminem also "retired", and then oddly came back singing the same generic bling obsessed bullshit about clubs and women etc etc that he had previously refrained from.
Still, at least they took a certain amount of time away from it. 50 Cent's has got to be a record. Or a perfect example of the stupidity and arrogance of the complete dick.
