Transformers 2, Terminator, Wolverine - 2009 is shaping up to be a pretty damn fine year for blockbuster movies. Hopefully. So here's the much anticipated trailer for Wolverine (the dodgy "camcorder" trailer has been around Youtube etc for a while, but I resisted putting that up here). Play Spot The Character... www.comicbookmovie.com/x-men_movies/x-men_origins_wolverine/news/?a=6485And, really, is it TOO much to ask for a BLONDE Sabretooth in a big stupid orange bodysuit?

Can't believe you left out Watchmen. Shame on you. Speaking of which, I saw that trailer on the big screen in front of it. Sabretooth as just a big dude with sideburns. [Sigh] Still, could be cool.

Oh yeah, good point - although, in my defense, I was talking about movies coming out soon. Watchmen's SO last week.
Speaking of which - seen it yet?

Wow, that prick really had it in for you. I always love how someone tries to pick apart every word and sentence; if we were to do that to every review we didn't like on Amazon we would be here to the death of the sun.
Did anyone else not understand the "biff pow" reference? Of COURSE you weren't saying it would be high camp like the 60s Batman, but, and I totally agree here, some people WILL expect this movie to be like, say, Iron Man or Hellboy. That is, glossy, comic book entertainment, NOT some "high brow" movie which just so happens to have super heroes in it. Gaaah, what a dick. Suitable "BURNNNN" response though, so kudos for that.
I've yet to see Watchmen, and, like the Wrestler, it may just be a movie I buy when it gets released. I've said it since this movie was being produced, and I hope I'm wrong when the figures are released, but I honestly can't fathom the audience for this. Batman, Superman and Spider-Man are all household names that even the most comic book ignorant have heard of, but who, outside of the fanboys (even I've never read the book) will honestly want to see it?

I think that troll may actually be an old stalker of mine who used to pop up on some of my more high profile reviews with a slew of "no" votes accompanying each comment. I think he has multiple accounts. It's always pseudo-this and pretentious that with him, as if using those stock insults makes one appear learned. I kind of like "pseudo-pretentious", though. It actually seems to fit since I do kind of use semi-mocking homages to the self-important language of more serious professional reviewers who can fill a page with bizarre word combinations that actually say nothing about what they're reviewing from time to time. But I actually do describe it. But apparently even something as simplistic as using the color black to describe the dark tone of a film still flies over people's heads. How depressing. Watchmen is slated for a director's cut release that is said to be 3 1/2 hour long. You might hate it so I don't know what to recommend to you, C. I can't wait to see it again, but this movie is REALLY not for everybody. The only wat to know is to check it out.
