Tom's Girl - that was the most redundant, pointless "comeback" since "I know YOU are, but what am I?"
Try harder, do better.

ORIGINAL COMMENT FROM AMAZON.COMwell, you got your 14 minutes of fame.....only 18 comments? Nice try. Andrew lights up my heart. Nothing wrong with that. Works well for me. BTW, you were the ringleader of shame on the Paul Potts thread..One Chance? Ah.....yes, I remember you now. Not surprising you would spread your ill-will and nastiness at every opportunity. Can't wait to see you diss Faryl Smith. Who?

The ringleader of shame?! I'm actually touched. If I ever pick a new nickname, that's totally going to be it.
Took a quick look at some of your, ahem ahem ahem, "reviews", ejane, and call me a big ol' music snob if you want, but I don't tend to take criticism from someone who describes "music for the soul" as an album of cover versions by a rejected American Idol singer (that would be Melinda Doolittle; she grunts and squeaks and squawks with the animals, a fitting name for American Idol fans, I suppose).
And you call it spreading my ill-will and nastiness (stop it, you big flirt, you're making me blush), I call it trying to educate the uneducated. Trying to break the spell that Cowell and co have over the easily-manipulated, trying to point out that this sort of thing is NOT, in any way, shape or form, music to care about. And if I reach out to a few people, and annoy pathetic cretins like you in the process, then my work is done.
I'll admit I've never heard of Faryl Smith before, but a few Youtube searches has just given me my next CD to review. Thank you ejane - you may well be my biggest ever fan.

ORIGINAL COMMENT FROM AMAZON.COM
I agree ejane... it looks like someone needs a whole lot of attention here... the someone who keeps on going and going with this bunch of psycho-babble! People who "taunt" like this absolutely crave attention... that is WHY they are "taunting" in the first place. If everyone would QUIT responding to this nothingness... it would stop. You can't keep taunting if there is nothing to taunt about and no one to taunt to in the first place... hummm... no brainer! Quit feeding this person's ego... ok already? The kid has a great voice... let it go at that! Now a word to the "taunter"... What is all the hub bub about anyway? We'll see how angelic this kid's voice is after he hits puberty if he hasn't already. Leave him alone... he'll probably be the next Paul Potts when that voice cracks. Get over it... he has a fantastic voice!

ORIGINAL COMMENT FROM AMAZON.COM
He'll be the next Paul Potts? Hey, what's he ever done to yo..... oh, you meant that as a compliment? Wow, one day, Britain's Got Talent contestant, you could grow up to be like.. another Britain's Got Talent contestant. Keep on reaching for that rainbow! I think I've discovered the underlying problem with the mentality of reality show viewers. Thanks for that, Babs.
And I'm sure I'm not alone in spotting the error in urging people NOT to respond to my review.. by responding to my review. "You can't keep taunting if there is nothing to taunt about and no one to taunt to in the first place." I'm sure that makes sense on Planet Retard, but down here it just baffles the mind.
So let me get this straight; if there was nothing to taunt ABOUT then this little turd wouldn't have had an album out in the first place, something which I would happily see, therefore there would be no-one to taunt because his pig-ignorant fans would be slavering over the next reality star. So.. what you want is for this kid to not even EXIST?
Barbara... I think I love you.

What is your problem? Do you find that you choke on your own hatred? Sorry to disappoint, but you are not showing yourself to be a curmudgeon, as your name would indicate, just clueless about music...
The reason he made a CD immediately is that he is really good.

I cannot believe you said "Why couldn't he just have done the traditional teenage thing and hung himself in his bedroom? Is that not the "cool" thing to do anymore?" Your entire review should be deleted and any credibility you had is gone (which, let's be honest, is next to nothing... you are reviewing on Amazon, not in some magazine, newspaper, or blog). You are just as bad as the person you are trying to "educate" people about. Shock posts and overly harsh and ridiculous statements galore but that one goes way over the line. The kid has an amazing voice and of course he should profit from it as soon as possible while his star is as high in the sky as it is...what do you think he should do? Just sit back and wait a few years until his voice changes? Nobody cares about your reviews, they are unhelpful and you have done nothing to educate. Maybe you should rethink yourself as a person before you grace us with anymore reviews.

ORIGINAL COMMENT FROM AMAZON.COM
Curmudgeon, these comments of your reviews are a bottomless well of entertainment.
MonkGroupie, in the future you should probably try to avoid accusing someone of being clueless about music (particularly if that person tends to praise artists like Prince and David Bowie) and then following that up by declaring obnoxious twit, Andrew Johnston to be "really good." Unless of course you're TRYING to get laughed at.
(Curmudgeon comment; this is Brainhead from this very site, but he doesn't come in here much. I've posted his comment for him in case my review gets pulled)

Aw, poor, miserable you. Were you bullied too? I think the only thing tragic here is your existence. Maybe you should be the one hanging yourself in your bedroom so as to not infect the rest of us with your obvious misery.

Curmudgeon takes mean-spirited to its highest level. If you instead spent all that energy on things more positive, you would accomplish much. I wonder what could have happened to make you this way. Leave Andrew alone. Bullying is NOT cool.
