I'm sorry that your thread got taken over. It wasn't my intention to do that. In the beginning I wasn't sure who that other person was. Then I started to have my suspicions and now know who it was. That person has a very unusual obsession with Susan that isn't normal. I suspect he might be very disturbed. Hope you understand and aren't mad at me. Happy holidays to you and yours. You are a fantastic writer and have a unique way of turning words into art. I totally enjoyed your review.

In case anyone is reading all this shit and suddenly wondered where all the replies went, it's really quite simple - I deleted the entire review.
Not because of the negative comments or the negative votes, but the fact the review had turned into a "discussion forum" for A. Lee and that other idiot who's name I can't even be bothered to remember. Discussion about the topic is fine, insults are fine, but when it starts turning into "well, I'm off to bed now. See ya" comments, that's when it's time to kill it. Would you believe my comments for the SB review because of those two trying to date each other hit the 400 mark?
So I killed the review and then brought it back. Those two are still openly flirting in that "tee hee, I hate you but I obviously don't" way, but those comments will not be published here. Anything regarding the actual review or of note will still be printed.
Anyway, where were we?

It is interesting these susanettes seem to spend all their time clicking buttons that, in some way, are a "vote" for susan or they find ways to click buttons to censor the opinions of those who dissapprove of susan bolye's soul-less antics. I saw a woman on the news (wearing a filthy bathrobe and slippers mid-day mind you) say she made over 2000 telephone votes for susan, this is, at $.85 a call, $1,700 in phone charges. Not very wise useage of what is apparantly state welfare funds. Seems that Simon Cowell has given rise to a cluster of home-bodies that wish to control the world from their sofa via authoritative buttons, how wonderful.

I agree with the reviewer. This c.d. is horrible, repeat, horrible. I have stated as much on other reviews and my own review, but these offensive trolls come to attack my words of justice and truth. I don't think Susan Boyle herself is a bad person. After all, before all this craziness she was living a drab, dull secluded life in some English or Scotish country village. Now she has brought the drab, dull and (dare I say) colourness environment to a world wide audience. We are so fortunate. But, more than this, Simon and evil company are exploiting this woman for every dime they could get. They could have produced music that had some substance, pep, and variety that showed that she had some energy. Unfortunately, they did not pour a big investment into this project so they got a mega reward for essentially, nothing. Susan is being used, manipulated. But she is not the cheat here. It's evil Cowell and his continuous ruses on the public. Great review. Clever, funny, ironic and TRUTHFUL.

No, this c.d. is not very good. It was packaged for people who PROMISED to buy it SIGHT UNHEARD on Youtube. And, there were millions of views, as we know. She was over-hyped, and people bought into the illusion like it was a new Yohimbi cult or, at least, the second coming of Elvis with teen screen magazine in hand.
Give the people what they want,,,,,,,,,,,,and they really got it with this c.d. I don't really want to fault Susan Boyle. She was the new mega puppet who happened to get lucky when the first one standing in line had to run off to the bathroom. She was next, and fate, inadvertently, smiled upon her and wasn't quick enough to change it's mind. She sings well enough. But is the fuss worth it? Absolutely not. Her performance is stilted, unsure, and lacking any depth. Plus lacking in any discernible energy.
Wait! I just heard a sound. Could that be Ella Fitzgerald turning over in her grave?

I feel that the first decade of the 21st century will be remembered as the decade of dodgy undeservedly famous pseud-singers: Paul Potts, Susan Boyle, Russell Watson, Il Divo, Norah Jones, Joss Stone, Sandi Thom, Beyoncé and Christina Aguilera. Singers who aren't really very good, but for some inexplicable reason, the plebs, heathens and philistines go ga-ga over them. I can't really explain the phenomenon but I wonder if it is some sort of herd mentality at work? People wanting to be caught up in something - be it hype (in the case of Aguilera or Beyoncé) or mass misplaced pity (Potts and Boyle) or arrogant philistinism (Il Divo and Russell Watson)?
Who knows? However there are good rock bands out there and they are good opera singers, too.
Why do we need singing deranged grannies, lazy teletubby tenors and toy pop stars?
